The latest Podcast.  Check it out.

But before the partying could begin, we had to wade though rush hour traffic.  Frustration comes at no extra charge.

Finally, we arrived.

For the uninitiated, eFocus is billed as an industry party, where big
entertainment names like Alienware, Logitech, and nVidia have their
latest on hand, as well as PR reps to chat with and exchange business
cards.  The drunk reps were the most fun.

Free alcohol!

Free food!

Free DDR!  (Actually, it was a PC version loaded up with Christian music, but Wiizer still couldn’t stay away)

Logitech had this sexay, yet to be released wheel-n-pedal set out for
touch and feel.  And what’s that on the right?  Yes, a six speed
H-pattern shifter.  And God, does it feel great; it even has a
BMW-style reverse gear.  The pedals and shift paddles are billet
aluminum, and the whole thing costs…ready?…$300.  Quite a bit of
cash to drop on a peripheral, but the quality is excellent.

Alienware had a new all-in-one system on display, obviously an iMac
competitor, but much sexier.  It also had a bag full of tricks,
including a slick built-in carrying handle, and also has a keyboard
that stores in the machine itself.  It goes from this…

To this…

VooDoo had this arousing rig out, water cooled and SLI’d.

And this is what we mentioned on the Show:  A Bemani-like keyboard
game, meant mostly as a piano instructor.  The whole kit, keyboard,
software, and wiring, runs for $200.  Yeah, a tad pricey, but the
keyboard has MIDI outputs, for wider functionality.

At the end of the night, I had made off with a decent amount of swag.  Maybe we’ll give some of it away on the Show?

We’re out for now, be sure to check in tomorrow for our report on the first day of E3.

First stop, Nintendo’s Press Briefing…

On the way to the Kodak Theatre for Nintendo’s Press Briefing.

My very own ticket to Yoshi’s Island.

Sometimes it’s good to be in the red.

You could view the press briefing live outside of the theatre in the lobby.

Shots of the stage.

A shot of the seats.

Out to lunch.

We then headed over to the LA Convention Center to pick up our Press Badges.

This floor mural was featured in the lobby right outside of the south hall. The artist is in the process of completing the work.

Random shots throughout the convention center lobbies.

Richie’s press badge. As you can see it says "E3 Early Access Media."
That means we get to go in the Expo itself two hours before anyone else
does.

The convention center outside.

Sony ads outside the convention center.

Then it was time to go to the Efoucus Event. Free food, Red Bull, and games to play. What more could you ask for?

Break trying out the PC title Piano Wizard.

This Toshiba notebook has a cool touchpad that reminds me of the Optimus Keyboard.

A DDR-like title for the PC. Burn those calories and praise God at the same time!

This Logitech gaming mouse has an adjustable weight mechanism. I think
it’s pretty outrageous, but at the same time it seem sweet and 1337.

This Logitech gaming keyboard has 18 programable marco keys as well as a sweet LCD screen.

We’ll be back here tommorow.
