Oh....you were serious....I'm sorry. I stand by any statements I have previously made about NFL Street. The game itself is quite weak, the AI sucks, and defense is way too difficult to play consistently. Let's not forget that almost every running back looks like the Incredible Hulk, minus the green. It was a flawed concept with flawed execution.
BTW, it's our opinion that this game sucks. It's your opinion that this NFL Street is good. We have the radio show, so we say it sucks on air. Feel free to call-in during the radio show and present your case so that we can debate the crappiness of NFL Street on the air if you would like to do so.

You gotta understand, Chardog; the reason we (being the BMX staff and most of the devoted followers) all hate Madden so much is because it sucks COMPARED to ESPN NFL Football. It might be good enough in its own right, but we all pretty much think that the ESPN a.k.a. NFL2K series is the rightful king of football video games, so when Madden gets all the glory, we all get pissed at Madden for being the 2nd best yet first recognized. That and we all pretty much think EA is a bunch of cock-sucking whores.

I'm not afraid in this company to say that EA does do a few of their games well
, Tiger and Madden being among the top (I still prefer the uglier-looking madden to ESPN)...but NFL Street? I am amazed that you like it that much. Of course you were probably playing other friends, right? The single player modes blow. Plain and simple. It's kinda boring.
What's funny is an EA rep called me up specifically to yell at me for the rating I gave it. (not sure if I am allowed to pimp the site on a forum post or not) We got it published the same day IGN put their 9.1 up or whatever. We gave it a 79% and the gaming world had a frikkin cow. (i.e. EA fanboys who filled my inbox with hate mail. I love it when a game isn't even out yet and they already know that it "rules all.")
EA basically said I would be sorry once Gamespot and other major sites put their review up, showing that I had no clue what I was talking about. I guess I had the last laugh. (Gamespot's score was the same as ours) IGN kinda has egg on their face with a higher review.

nfl street
I have no expierence with the single player mode, because i have friends...ahem...but from what my friend told me it does bite. Ill give you that, but at least friggin try the multiplayer, its like NFL blitz, only fun, and if you dont like the character design suck my balls, you couldnt do any better. The cartoonish look dosn't make the gameplay bad. OH and that thing about defence, every football game i have played multiplayer with allways ends up in an all out score-fest, but because of the gamebraker feature the team that screws up once isnt left hopeless. And, if you think EA sucks you have obviously never played NBA Street Vol. 2 that game was unbelieveable. Overall, good job with the radio show, your the best video gaming radio ive heard... and the only videogaming radio station ive heard. Oh and just one last thing, Warcraft III: TFT rules, if you havent played it, buy it as fast as you can, if you have played it and didnt like it, you are a detriment to society, and you should die of colon cancer.
just because the people reviewing the game couldn't make a better character design doesn't mean the designs don't suck. besides i'm sure someone on here could. the fact is the people that worked on the came are trained to make better designs. these designs are just lame.
i don't think anyone here has anything agaisnts cartoonish looks. break loves the hell out of zelda. compared to street zelda is way more cartoonish.
furthermore i know for a fact break and jack of played nba street, i've played it with them, they both loved it.
so to kinda quote you:
"if you don't like the show suck it up, you couldn't do better" but if you think you could just go do it. instead of just complaining that the peoples opinions don't match your own. opinions can't be wrong they are personal. so there is nothing wrong with people saying this game sucks. in my opinion i agree it is so lame.

Hey, I didn't say a thing about NBA Street Vol. 2. That game is quite fun, and I had a blast with it. This game on the other hand is nowhere near as good as NBA Street Vol. 2, and as such, I don't like it.
Also, if you think Blitz wasn't fun back in the day (god, I can't believe I just called PSX/N64 era back in the day) then I'm sorry. I loved the first 3 blitz games...

Chardog is doing exactly what this forum is here for, giving his opinion. And while his may differ from ours, that is the whole point of this place. To get ALL gamers voices heard. That's why I let people ask questions directly to Bungie, and all that. I'm attempting to build a community, not a dictatorship. So, Chardog, thanks for sharing your opinion.
I too have many fond memories of Blitz and NBA Street Vol. 2 for that matter.
Now on to NFL Street. First of all, I love all types of games. Usually I tend to like the unrealistic/cartoony games more than their realistic counterparts. NFL Street is a game, that I think started out with a fairly flawed concept. As I've been working at EB lately, my assistant manager has been playing it a lot, and I must say that its not that bad. It is not a game I would buy, but something that might be fun to have a bunch of people just pick up and play for Multiplayer.
It is not a great game by any means, but I have played much worse. If I was to rate it, I would give it a 70ish rating.

That's a good call. Opinions shouldn't matter that much anyway other than the person on the fence wanting to know if they should plop down half a hundred for an optical disc full of potentially crappy software.BreakmanX wrote:Chardog is doing exactly what this forum is here for, giving his opinion.
