Has anyone played Eternal Sonata?

It comes out in a few weeks on the PS3. I downloaded the demo and it looked like a pretty sound RPG.
I know it came out on 360 ages ago, so someone here probably can tell me if it's worth picking up.

Also are there any good RPGs anymore? Like the epic awesome ones that i could look into. Cause I havnt' played one in far too long. Every game seems to be going for first person and photo realism.

It's funny I actually downloaded the Japanese demo by accident. I saw a demo up on the japanese store titled "Trusty Bell" and had no idea that that's what Eternal Sonata is called in Japan. I already briefly played the US demo on an Xbox 360 some time ago and didn't care for it. The port is mostly the same thing. There's other RPG's/anime RPG's I'm waiting for. (White Knight Story, Valkyria Chronicles)

I also really want to get a new PSP for Ushiro. Level 5 is looking like THE JRPG developer these days.

I thought Eternal Sonata was amazing, but then again, I have a Bachelors of Music, so I'm very much into that sort of thing. I thought the gameplay was certainly great though.

exactly, the rest of the game just felt very mediocre to me.

it's a pretty good RPG, cheap in some places. The music is GREAT!

the combat in here is so fun, but the story and the cutscenes are SO boring...
like i wanted to kill myself, but i couldnt' ski pthem caus ei had never seen them and there might be something important, or god forbid cool. but no they are just dreadfully droll
