PS3 Bashing time

ok guys Now it's time to bash the PS3 again. Sony is going the way of Microsoft and NO LONGER going to have backward-compatiblity on it's 80GB That has NO Emotion Engine chipset. That mean We can't play ANY PS2 Games on the PS3. So we will be playing a $500+ Systems that can't play PS2 games Plus the PS3 Has NO GOOD GAMES on it. Some people call the PS3 the N64! I call it the Sega Saturn..

1.) I've looked up all of the games that have worked fine on my 60gb model on the 80 gb model through here

They've worked fine.

2.) The compatibility rate is significantly MUCH higher than that of the xbox 360's. At this point why would anyone even claim the 360 as being backwards compatible.

as for the "NO GOOD GAMES" statement. Well, as of right now there are a handful of decent titles. although the rest are mostly ports. It's a matter of preference I suppose. PS3 is getting shitty dev support (but then again it's mostly from shitty devs like EA) while microsoft is throwing money at everything and devs are mostly just giving them more support. But, have you ever played any of them to tell if it has no good games or not???

...I have/had every single demo they've released (excluding nascar), and I would say I enjoyed pretty much all of them. The "NO GOOD GAMES" would've been more accurate back in november of '06. It's just plain stupid now. Replace it with "NO GOOD DEV SUPPORT" and that would be correct.

After all, the you're the guy that defends the PS3 so righteously on it's good games, whilst bashing the Wii for this same reasoning, which quite frankly makes no sense. Granted, you also use the lack of online support for the Wii as well, but then I suppose that reasoning could be used on the PS3 when it's stacked next to the 360's online capabilities

Which is why I said it's a matter of preference between the two. the exclusives that the 360 and ps3 have will be the deciding factor on which one people will want more. Just because you don't like some of the exclusives, doesn't mean I or other people don't. sorry, but the world doesn't revolve around your opinions or tastes.

Ok, back to the backwards compatibility. I was really upset when I heard about this too. Until it turned out that it wasn't true... I've also gone through the list and there isn't a single Ps2 or Ps1 game that I want to play that the Ps3 80gb can't emulate.

Sony simply has better hardware this time around... The games are purely a matter of opinion though.
