It's been talked about forever in the various circles I travel in, and its been pretty much confirmed everywhere. This pic was taken by a Hastings store manager. Around the same time, or possibly a few days before, their live DVD should come out. From what I've heard, its not a normal live DVD though. The guitarist, Adam Jones, worked on special effects for Terminator II and is really good at film production. They've been working on this DVD for years and years. A source close to the band said it was similar in approach to The Wall, but that it was their own spin.
Anyway, Im excited.

*hug* I can barely contain myself. BTW, when you going back to New York? I return from LA on the 10th. Richie, my brother and I are heading to see 311 on the 12th of August, so if you're around you should go. I'm not really into them, but Papa Roach and Unwritten Law are opening if that helps any.Realm wrote:It's been too long. Gotta love A Perfect Circle, but Tool just kicks ass.
Never been a fan of AFI, but I just did a search for Styles of Beyond and they look interesting. Are they straight forward hip hop, or more rage against the machiney?jayt11 wrote:where's the love for AFI and Styles of Beyond???
More rage against the machine, mike shinoda type band. I heard them on the WWE raw vs smackdown game. The song was called Superstars. They also had a song called Subculture on the Tony Hawk soundtrack.
I've only heard one AFI song, Miseria cantare, as its the theme for this wrestler CM Punk. Real anthem type song. It's also Richie's ring tone, hehe. It captures his longing to destroy Lindsborg.

I will have to check them out. Is it easily findable or underground.
Speaking of rage against the machine, their singer is coming out with something soon. He recorded an entire album with Trent Reznor doing the music, but legalities have prevented it from coming out. I hope that comes out, but supposedly he's got anoother new project as well. Trent said he wants to make sure what he comes out with is at least as good as rage, and the stress of coming out of such a big band as rage is getting to him a bit. He also did an album with DJ Shadow which isn't coming out... He could've had like 3-4 albums done, but he doesn't want to dissapoint. He wants a return that rage fans can respect. That's great.. but I want to hear Zack before I die... Dont want to rush em... I just miss em. I was watching this old video of my first band doing a rage medley of Bulls on Parade, Guerilla Radio, and Know Your Enemy. Really made me nostalgic of waiting for new rage albums. Audioslave's new one is good, but I just feel so disconnected when I hear them. I expect to hear Zack and I hear Cornell, and I love Soundgarden, but it just doesn't work as well for me. Chino also said the new deftones would be really fucking aggressive and evil sounding, so that'll be interesting.. Ok, Im done rambling about my musical excitement.
