Ok, it's not that I have a problem with playing videogames. Actually, I enjoy them quite a bit, but I do have one little problem with them. After "x" amount of time playing as a singular character with no change whatsoever, the story and the gameplay can become very repetitive and there's no consequences to your actions. (Fable may very well change this) But since most video games are so linear, table top is a solid answer to a more open and expansive gaming experience. Like most MMORPG's, you get to custom create your character, making what you want. The stories can be based totally off of your own imagination, and consequences do exist. When you fail it can matter to the story, other than; pause, reset, start over level.
Granted, some players can't draw the line between reality and ficition (I might be one of them), but it's a venue that most gamers overlook because of a bad rap given to it by the accursed D&D. If you're interested in just checking out what's out there, I highly suggest White Wolf's WoD Dark Ages material, or their redesigned Vampire the Reqiuem due out in August.

That's because I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest man you should look out for, because it's always the honest man who does something... ... stupid.
