Silviar...That's because alot of the music I listen to and the alot of the bands I see never get any airplay on corporate radio or are never seen on MTV and etc. It's not that I seek out to find something obscure, but I find that when bands are on idependent labels, they seem to be more down to earth and not as concerned about money and more about the music. And it usually shows in the music. The bands are not expected to follow current popular trends, they can expirament as much as they want. But, that's not to say that I don't listen to any bands on major labels. I'll listen to whatever I think sounds good. Corporations like Clear Channel are the devil. College radio, they pretty much play everything I listen to.

thsi is off topic, but i listened to jayt11s song, i don't like rap..AT ALL, and i liked it. belive me if i liked it and its rap (poetry in my eyes) it has to be decent. just didn't wnat to start a new thread for that.

I think you misread something. Weezer hasn't been around this area since 2002. They're currently working on a new album and they're going to release a deluxe version of The Blue Album and a DVD this spring. Hopefully when they tour again, they'll come by here.

I know this thread has been 6 feet under for a while, but I'm going to my 3rd Taking Back Sunday concert tomorrow night. They're playing with Fall Out Boy, Matchbook Romance, and The Sleeping. Should be fun...another enjoyable time in a mosh pit.
