In that case def hold out for an 8800gt. You won't regret it :)

right-o, right now I'm running on Intel Graphics Media Accelerator drivers, I guess I could do MOST stuff (videos, graphically small scale games like Unreal Tournament and Half Life). I won't be able to play Games like Battlefield and Half life 2 until I get my video card though, But hey, it's much much better than the annoying fuck-ups I get with the Radeon X300. The only problem I have now is that I STILL Can not find the drivers for my speakers. I know that the drivers are supposed to come from realtek, but I don't know which one, so sound is still not working under windows.

Comparing 8600 with 8800GT is dumb.

Get 8800GT hands down, no questions asked.

What sound card do you have? Is it onboard? If so whats your mobo?

It's onboard, here it is:

on the sound card section it says AC'97, but Installed that like 10 times already and no sound comes out of my speakers under windows, it's not even recognized.

Go to http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745 and install that then boot into safe mode and unistall the drivers with the program. Then reboot back into windows and try installing the driver from Here.
