GC sold: 5846
Xbox sold: 45,939
PS2 sold: 84,477

I know Break has quoted Nintendo Big Wigs saying that the day that Nintendo stops making consoles is the day that it dies... or something along those lines.. But these figures do not bode well for the system..
I'll look to find more recent figures.. Comments everyone?

REDMOND, Wash. — Feb. 19, 2003 — Coming off an impressive holiday season, the Xbox™ video game system continues to show strong North American sales and solidify its position in the highly competitive video game industry. Microsoft Corp. today confirmed that Xbox got off to a very happy new year, with outstanding January sales.

According to NPD Group/NPD Funworld, Xbox maintained a 24 percent next-generation market share in January, double the share of Nintendo’s GameCube system.

There is also a rumor that Media Create is reporting weekly Xbox sales finally beat out Cube sales in Japan (week of Feb 19th). I don't have any credible source to back that up.

The Media Create rumor was obviously false. XBox did not come close to outselling GameCube for the week of Feb 16 in Japan. Sorry for the bad info.

But, the numbers according to Famitsu for the week that DOAXtreme Beach Volleyball was released does say that for one week, Xbox actually outsold GCs...but only by like 400. It was something like 8841 to 8482 (or something like that...I can try to find a link, but it will be kinda tough...it got posted on the IGN boards earlier this week)
