So Microsoft has been hyping these 2 huge announcements, the first of the two was revealed yesterday and the 2nd will unveiled tonight. SO far, the news is nothing new, just MS confirming the Xbox elite.
HDMI port, black finish, 120 GB hard drive; will anybody be trading in their 360 just to get this elite model? I sure won't. Let's hope tonight's announcement will leave more of an impact.
Update: Apparently the 2nd news story wasn't even gaming related. Hype sucks.
Well...the only thing that seems really special about the elite to me is the black paintjob. I mean I know I don't need 120 GB (fuck, I don't even need all the space on the HDD we already have) and the HDMI doesn't matter to me. And hell, regardless of whether or not I like the black paintjob, I'm not fuckin' stupid enough to pay $80 for it when I could go buy a can of black spray paint for just a LITTLE bit less than that at Dollar General...granted I need someone 18 or older to get it for me. Fuck.
If and when I get my 360 I'll probably just get it painted at someone else's house since I know more than a couple people that carry cans of spray paint at home.
Don't worry, Q. I always say shit like that but I never get around to it because I really don't care about it all that much. I'm not as much into the appearance of my system as I really give off.
Many people were thinking that the second announcement would be GTA IV exclusive to 360. I don't know why they thought that, but thats the rumor going around. I guess not true. But on another note, be sure to check out the GTA IV trailer tomorrow. Hopefully R* doesn't disappoint.
I would onlt take an Elite for the HDMI but I can live with the component hookup. Fuck the 120GB HD, I'm not renting those stupid movies and tv shows. Terrible.
I buy a few tv shows, like South Park. If there are a few I want, instead of buying the DVD I don't mind spending a couple bucks and downloading them. I downloaded the Jared has Aides episode last night, it is hilarious.
