I fixed my Xbox 360!

So if you remember about 2 or 3 weeks ago I said that my Xbox had been freezing. Well right before I left for Virginia I got the 3 red lights of death. I was thinking great, $139 to get it fix. Well I found a tutorial (I would mention the site, but I don't know what you guys think about like spamming or anything) and I decided what the hell, it looks like an easy fix, plus I am out of warranty so it can only get better from here. So I do the tutorial, and I am up and playing. I had the Xbox on for about 45-50 minutes with no freezing or crashing. Before if it was on for 3 minutes it would freeze. I also think that the console is running faster and quieter. But I am letting everyone know that I am back on Xbox Live, and we need to get some damn TMNT going! I also have some pictures during the work. Not many, but a few if you are interested.

Hooray for you. I'm still saving my damn money for that 360. Had to fork out $100 to get my laptop repaired and I had like $300 saved up already (if I cashed in at Gamestop at least, what with gift cards saved from Christmas).

As far as I know about the rules on spam...I don't think the link to the tutorial would be spam. Break's a fairly open-minded person and I don't think that linking to a 360 do-it-yourself fix tutorial would make him too edgy, but this is Break so predicting how he'd react to anything is impossible.

I do hope he's nice enough to accept a helpful link over the several links to wikipedia that've been posted. But hey, I've still got to remember this is Break so eh, I'll let him explain it if I'm wrong in any way. I mean even if I'm right I dunno if it's to be posted in another forum or not. I've already had some confusion on what to do with that already...

Now that I fixed it I think I am going to mod it, like a new paint job and maybe some new LEDs for the ring of light. I think I am going to paint it black so it looks like an Elite, then buy a 120GB HDD.

The only kind of links that I forbid are "site-whoring" links. Basically plastering your own personal site for no reason other than a look-at-me factor.

I'd have no problem with you posting the tutorial link.. anything that helps the community is fine with me.

I didn't think you would get mad since it isn't my site or anything, but I just wanted to make sure. The tutorial is on xbox-scene.com. It is a really nice one, and my Xbox is still running fine.
