Alright, so the Valentine is back after a prolonged absence. (Sorry about that)

Anyway, what's new in the world of TT? Well the new World of Darkness of course! Or nWoD if you like the shortened new world order design looking thing. So yeah, the new WoD is out and so far, it's not that bad. Creation has been streamlined so it doesn't take as long to fashion a character. They've completely tossed out the freebie point system, instead you have 7 points to divide among merits which in turn help you with speicifc task. i.e. fighting, manipulating, healing and so on and so forth. As previously stated they reduced the number of clans from 13 to just 5 with speicifc bloodlines to choose from. Some of the bloodlines are new and some of them are a combination of of the original 13 clans from VtM. Another new aspect of the game is that as a vampire your not only from a clan/family but you also get to choose a covenant which you belong to. Now covenants are more of political or social beliefs which match your character, which in turn can cause both and good and bad things depending on who you're interacting with.

The creation system over-all, as stated, has been streamlined down to its core. The point system does not change from super natural character to mortal character. The only difference between the two is that super natural character gets powers/disiciplines while a mortal does not. This alone makes it possible for a mortal to survive and perhaps even become more of a threat to vampire than having a vampire constantly be victor in any given situation, save for an act of god where he might botch every roll he tries. Original stats have also been changed wherein appearance is no longer considered an "attribute" but can still be altered through purchasing the proper merit.

Over-all I'm impressed with the changes, but to some degree I miss the old WoD venue. This new version is open to a whole new realm of possibilites. Currently the only two books available, which you need to play, is the WoD core rule book and Vampire the Requiem. The rule book is currently $19.99, and the VtR is $29.99. If you've got the spare flow I suggest you pick them up and check out what White Wolf's been cooking for the past couple years.

That's because I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest man you should look out for, because it's always the honest man who does something... ... stupid.
