Dude, you at least need to see one. I recommend anything that doesn't invovle weird tentacle shaped wangs on the cover. Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Spirited Away, Princess Monoke are all good choices.

Have any of you guys seen Wolf's Rain, that shit is the mad note. Really kewl/weird religious overtones (i.e. Book of the Moon). Pretty nice story line but kind of trails at times. Now my favorites as far as other sagas go:

Wow there are some really close votes on some of those. Most could be easily be switched around in my opinion given the alignment of the planets and moon rotation.

This thread seems to be as good a time as any to come in to the crazy world of forums. I've been a fan of anime for quite a while now, and these are my favorites, in no particular order:

1. Cowboy Bebop (Ballad of the Fallen Angel, nuff said)
2. Dragonball Z (Saiyan Pride!)
3. FOOLY COOLY (Crazy, sexy, cool, and more crazy)
4. Trigun (PEACE AND LOVE!!!!)
5. Escaflowne (giant robots + giant swords = hard-on material)
6. Tenchi Muyo (any dudes' wet dream)
7. Wolf's Rain (best damn looking plant I've ever seen)
8. Inuyasha (disturbing how short the schoolgirl skirts are in Japan, but somehow at the same time intriguing)
9. Outlaw Star (Hot Springs Tenrei, yummy)
10. Akira (Uncut, though I wish the ending was a bit different)
