One of the most exciting things to emerge from the ever expanding indie game scene was the creation of the Humble Bundle. Originally created to energize the sales of a few independent games, the bundles “pay what you want” method instantly made it incredibly popular. After a few successful bundles, buyers were given challenges: pay more than the average price, receive an extra game or two. The prior four bundles have included some amazing games, but the quality of the fifth bundle, available for the next six days, deserves special mention.
At the moment, you can pay any price you want (seriously, even just a dollar) and receive some of the greatest games found from the indie scene in the last three years. You’ll be given the beloved Psychonauts, the absolutely terrifying Amnesia: The Dark Descent, LIMBO, and the quirky SuperBrothers: Swords and Sworcery EP.
However, if you pay above the average price, which currently rests at about $8, you’ll also get Bastion, Super Meat Boy, Lone Survivor, and Braid. That’s insane. Hell, I’d argue that just a bundle of Super Meat Boy and Braid would be worth more than a measly $8.
The games are redeemable on Steam and include the soundtracks. If you haven’t already gone searching like mad for the link above, here it is again. Now you have no excuse. Bust out your wallet and buy some great games.

Amnesia is both fantastic and pants-wettingly scary.
I was watching my brother play it during the day and we were both sufficiently creeped out. If you allow yourself to just go with the atmosphere it is mind-blowingly effective.
Thanks for the heads up on this, Eric. I was meaning to grab some of these anyway, but I’ve been short on gaming time lately. Couldn’t even pass this up! Too good!
