What?  Praise for EA?  After we hear they’re trying to lock down college basketball rights?

Watch this.

Enraged?  You should be.  Hell, you probably want to join the rest of gamerdom in a mail bombing campaign against Fox News.  But what about that Geoff Keighley, huh?  He managed to serve tall glasses of ownage to both twats before getting cut off.  Yea, as I walk though the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no ignorant bitches from Fox News.

EA was not entertained, and answered.  Jeff Brown, VP of communications for EA, sets Fox straight on just about every lie in fine form.

I’m suprised they didn’t sue straight away – false and malicious reporting is called slander, a crime in all 50 states.  EA probably has a plan for legal action, though, and hopefully we’ll see it played out.

Even if Faux decides to ‘correct the record’…how?  How the fuck do you correct a national broadcast?  The lies are out there now, no take backs.  If I worked at BioWare, nothing short of seeing Martha MacCallum teabagged by a gaggle of lepers would make anything feel ‘correct’.

"This isn’t a legal threat; it’s an appeal to your sense of fairness. We’re asking FNC to correct the record on Mass Effect."

My favorite part.  It reads like, this isn’t a legal threat, but sounds like, correct your lies or we’ll sue you into the ground.

It’s high time we get used to alarmist reporting like this.  It’s an election year, and video games are on the ballot.  Expect nothing less in the future.

See you in the game.
