We always get called morons for liking or not liking
something. It gets very annoying. This sort of thing especially happens at the
closest gaming store in my area, Game Crazy. I’m literally afraid to go in
there now after what has happened a few times. I remember going in there to buy
Soul Calibur. I was harassed by the kid by the counter, telling me how shitty
it was and how stupid I was for wasting my money. He kept telling me to get the
used copy because the full version was a waste. He even offered to buy the used
version for me! Another instance of this was when my friend went to buy an Xbox
with halo. As the kid behind the counter turned around to get Halo, he laughed
his ass off. I’m never going there again.
The same kind of thing is happening everywhere online. Some
bashing is tolerable while others are not. People are STILL complaining about
the PSP not having any games worth playing. I mean, what do you gamers want? A
million games just to satisfy you? How about trying something new or picking up
an old PS1 classic port. It’s really fun playing it on a small screen. The same
kind of complaints are being used on the PS3. Take Genji for instance, it’s
probably the most bashed game on the internet today. Has anyone even played the
original game? I didn’t think so.
I’m basically complaining about how picky gamers have
become. They only play the games they know and love, or games that receive
amazing reviews from websites. Then they wonder why the game industry is rarely
developing new titles and taking chances. I’m scared for the future of our
industry.
