First off I’d like to welcome myself to breakmanx.com. This is my first post so please try not to be too harsh on me :).
So I picked up an xbox 360 at Wal-Mart last week. After months and weeks of jumping from store to store looking for a 360. While I was putting away some yogurt I got a call from my good friend who works in the grocery department while he was going in to Wal-Mart to pick up Fight Night 3. He called me as soon as he got home pratically yelling at me that Wal-Mart had JUST put out about 6 premium systems and 6 cores. Lucky me, I rush to Wal-Mart as soon as my shift ended and picked my beautiful premium system.
So while i’m home setting up my console I decide to download some demos since I couldn’t get any games. The first demos i’ve played were The outfit, battlefield 2: MC and Full Auto. I just could not get into these games. The graphics didn’t seem like anything special, just a suped up Xbox. I was afraid that I had just blown $400 on a system. I was bored within a few minutes. Another gripe I had is the fact that these games are in widescreen format which makes it hard to see and play the game.
Of course I just couldn’t give up on my beautiful 360 so I picked up some games that actually got GOOD reviews, Perfect Dark Zero and Fight Night Round 3. To my surprised these games looked fantastic. The gameplay was fun and amazing and I just couldn’t not get over how amazing the graphics were. The style and gameplay of PDZ actually felt a lot like the old goldeneye to me. Atticus told me that the multiplayer is better than the singleplayer but so far i’m enjoying singleplayer a lot more. I also downloaded Call of Duty 2, and GRAW which are just really amazing. One thing I feel that’s revolutionary’ about the 360 is the dashboard. The idea of browsing a store and have the ability to buy and trailers, demos and more is just genious. I’m hoping that PS3 and the Nintendo Revolution will do the same.
For the record, high school sucks. I spent two days and two long nights trying to finish a book only to find out that the major test was..delayed. Fuck you high school..fuck you..
As for anything I’m excited about, I’ve had my eye on Suikoden 5 and Advanced Warfighter. Both are getting some pretty good reviews.
