Hey guys, I just wanted to say "hey" before I head out to San Francisco on Tuesday to cover the Game Developers Conference for the site.  What is GDC, you ask?  Well, it's kinda like E3, but it's only for developers, and they have these really cool workshops the entire time, where speakers basically give their ideas on trends within the industry, and also their takes on how to do certain things that gamers want to play.  Oh yeah, and did I mention they have a whole bunch of parties there too?  Must've slipped my mind.  ^^

Nevertheless, I'm really looking forward to covering my first GDC, as hopefully it will give me an even better inside look into the industry and how it works, and hopefully I'll also be able to establish a relationship with some big names in the industry that you might have heard of.  Not only that, but there is talk that one of the three next-gen systems might be making an appearance, or be having an unveiling at the show, so you know that I have to check that out.

Before I leave though, I am trying to play quite a few games however, I'm currently having some fun with Fight Night Round 2, which is extremely fun to play, if only to watch the knockdown animations.  The combination of the sound and the video makes you really feel like you're just pummeling some guy's face into mush, and when you're fighting a fat man, well, let's just say that the jiggling is almost hypnotic.  I also just got done with Brothers in Arms, which is probably the best WWII shooter that I've ever played.  Gearbox finally did something right, and I'm extremely happy for them, because the game is freakin' great.

I'm also still playing GT4, and I'm still having quite a bit of fun with it.  I have to say that the game is still great, and the cool cars I own just keep getting cooler.  Now, Richie's MUCH further in the game than I am, but I must say that I'm just kind of keeping my own pace…I have other games to play than just GT4.

One last thing too:  If you haven't seen or heard anything about it yet, I stronly urge you all to try to find some movies of Psychonauts and check out the sense of humor that Tim Schafer is injecting into what looks to be the funniest game since Conker's Bad Fur Day.  Just for an example, one of the stages takes place within a giant lungfish's mind….that's right, inside the mind of a lungfish.  I don't think I have to say much else, except…. "Look out for Goggalor!"
