Just one day after we talk on the Show about EA gaining exclusive ESPN rights, and after we explore the possibility of major sports franchises selling off their usage rights, the MLB Players Association struck a deal with Take-Two. Whichever industry analyst made that prediction must feel all kinds of vindication right now.
In other news, I'm almost proud to say…
…I've gotten Break to play, and like, a racing game. A car racing game, mind you; I don't sort F-Zero or other futuristic racers into the same category as games like Gran Turismo and Project Gotham. The game is Outrun 2, and he's taken quite a liking to the drifting aspect. For someone who's never drifted a motor vehicle (outside of blue sparks in Double Dash, which could be construed as a drift), he picked up on the concept quickly, only taking five or so tries. Now he's taking decreasing radius turns and doing Scandinavian flicks like a pro, and enjoying every moment of it. Given, Outrun 2's physics aren't exactly a pinnacle of realism, but no one really gives a fuck when you're having this much fun.
