Anyone out there remember the Warthog Jump video? Remember how its creator melded some insane grenade-launching stunts to an uber cool soundtrack? Remember liking it? Then I've got something straight up your alley. It's called the Shield Jump video, and, though not as varied as Warthog Jump, it's in the same spirit: Fucking with the physics engine to create crazy stunts. It has to do with those shield emplacements the Covenant use, and driving a tank over one. Tanks get launched, hilarity ensues. Check it, if you're buh-dah-kee.
I'd also like to let all the Half-Life 2 owners out there know…
…about the patch Valve has recently released over Steam. Its focus is to address a stuttering/frame rate problem players experience while playing, usually when suddenly turning. The frame rate drop is usually accompanied with a sound error. Some may say, "Big fucking deal", but when you're in the immersive universe of Half-Life, it's very irritating to have this immersion interrupted by such errors. The patch, combined with one nVidia beta drivers, almost completely eliminated the stuttering problem on my machine, and seemed to smooth out the frame rate in all aspects. Consider this patch Richie approved.
Buh-dah-kee!
