Was anyone surprised by the latest Show?  I know some of you were expecting us to fuck Sony up the ass with a hot rebar, but we didn't go down that well beaten path.  As I promised, there were far more kind words than flames, mostly from me, despite being the apparent Sony hater that I am.  Really, you're only asking for anger and frustration if you take our Show as seriously as some of you do.  We do the Show to have fun, and if you're not having fun listening, then please don't listen.

But anyway, I'd now like to have the attention of the older crowd: Anyone remember Aeon Flux?  That crazy sci-fi cartoon that ran on MTV in the 90's? Yeah, it's the one with the really hot main character.  They're making a movie, and, following the modern due process, are making a game to match.  It's great to have a badass starting point for a movie, but the icing on the cake is the use of Charlize Theron, the cute/hot bombshell of The Italian Job fame, as Mrs. Flux.  She's also lending her likeness and voice to the game, which I sadly don't hold much hope for.  I still hold to the belief that the movies-into-games idea is a bad one, despite the recent success of Escape From Butcher Bay.

I, in short, see some potential.  At the very least, we'll get to see Charlize look hot on the big screen again.  Laterz.

BreakmanX (AKA Matthew Nyquist) founded BreakmanX.com in 2001 after having small video game websites since around 1996. Things really took off in September of 2002 when he started The Game Show with Richie. BreakmanX.com quickly developed a tight knit community of gamers as the crew covered major industry events and interviewed top industry talent. Break later went to the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts to get his MFA in Film and TV Production. He worked in Hollywood for seven years with people like Fred Roos (The Godfather Trilogy, Star Wars) and Dane Davis (The Matrix). He's now gone full circle and returned to Kansas to write and direct a feature film (EyesOpenMovie.com), relaunch The Game Show (BreakmanX.com), and spend his day time hours as an tenured Associate Professor.
