Today I had the opportunity to try out Epic Mickey 2: The Power of 2 at Disney Interactive’s booth at E3. You may remember two years ago when I reviewed the original Epic Mickey, I raved about the content and story details, but was less than enthused about the awkward Wii controls. I never, in fact, ended up finishing the original Epic Mickey simply because it was too frustrating to play with the awkward camera and poor controls. I’m happy to say that I’m pleased with the newest addition to this franchise. This time, I played the game on the…

Today at E3, I had the opportunity to play the latest from one of my favorite Sony franchises. LittleBigPlanet Karting is the newest addition to the LBP family. I’m going to be honest; I was underwhelmed. Sure, it has the adorable sackboy characters in the equally adorable world of LBP with the added fun of racing, but it honestly played exactly like a less exciting version of Mario Kart. When I played the demo, I think I was racing through some kind of space station. Along the way, you pick up points bubbles and try to stay on the track.…

When I was 5 years old, I found out about a magical place called Disneyland. I begged my parents to take me. I had to see it for myself. They told me I was too young to go on the rides, and that I had to wait until I was seven. They hoped I would forget in the two long years before my seventh birthday. I didn’t. Walking into that park for the first time, seeing Mickey Mouse in person, getting to experience everything through the eyes of a seven year old girl is truly an irreplaceable experience. But it…

I love LittleBigPlanet. Now, you may think I’m biased, because I do tend to love things that are adorable, but let’s be honest, there are plenty of adorable games out there that suck. Fortunately, LittleBigPlanet 2 is not one of those games. Media Molecule took everything that was enjoyable about the original LittleBigPlanet and enhanced it, creating an even more dynamic, clever, but still cute and fun game.

DISNEY’S EPIC MICKEYPlatform: Nintendo Wii”I really like your shirt!” That’s what Warren Spector, Creative Director of Disney’s Epic Mickey, said of the Mickey Mouse t-shirt I wore on the day of my Epic Mickey demo at E3. And, after a lengthy demo and a chance to play a bit of the game myself, I have to say, Mr. Spector, I really like your game! Being a lifelong Disney fan, I was ecstatic when I first heard about this game’s development. This is the biggest release of any kind featuring Mickey Mouse since the 1950’s when he appeared in some of…
