Hardcore gaming ! REALLY hardcore

Post by fakk2 »

I listen to your show and all find is talk about current games that you easily acquire at alot of walmart. The release list seems the ebgames one. Anyways, for Really hard core gamers the spectrum of game released arent the only ones being released via ebgames. Alot of companies do work on older system games. To this day sega cd, atari jaguar, coleco, atari 2600 and atari 5600 are still being made by dedicated people .And no we arent talking homebrews. Perhaps you can do a report on older system game releases companies and such. Such places as songbird, telegames and probaly the best example is scatlogic . For years they have been supplying atari jaguar games for a system long deemed by people as dead.

Break's a huge oldskooler, they cover this kinda stuff all the time. Btw, "hardcore" is very relative. Hardcore might mean a 2600 to you, to me it's the all-night-gaming-Quake3-mod-guys. To ignore the brand new kickass games would make the show pretty damn boring imho.
I have spoken.

It's pretty much impossible to fit EVERYTHING game-wise into one show. Really there should be multiple shows to cover everything, shouldn't there?

Hardly , hard core gaming is typically not limited to one system, You check anyone who has a vast collection ( no i do not mean roms, real diehards go for the real deal) and they pretty much cover a broad spectrum. The reason why i mention scatlogic and such is for the fact of there limited avaliablilty of these games. You avergae joe doesnt put down 450 bux , YES 450 bux for one game ( Record for battlesphere gold on ebay ) . Almost another show u can do on rarities of some games

As far as boring it probaly plays out better than any soap opera. Whos the better gamer? A person who has the dedication and fronts there own cash to release a "real" game? No homebrews arent real games.Mods arent real games.Or average joe buying the latest releases at walmart ?

Did you pick up the latest dreamcast release?

Wow...you're pretty exhausting to read. :?

The game show is what it is. It can't please everyone...but man it really hits home with a niche.

That niche is the group of gamers out there interested in all current goings on in the industry, development and on the screens at home.

You make a pretty poor case for "latest releases at Wal-mart" = not hardcore. I don't get it. Dude, I've played so many "homebrews" and mods that totally piss on major label titles. How the living heck does the amount of money paid for a game = hardcore??? That is the most bass ackwards way of defining hardcore...

Regardless...your reality of continuing development on dead systems is a cool aspect of the video game community...but it shouldn't necessarily dictate what this show is.
Feel happy. Pee.
