I downloaded Rurouni Kenshin OVA 5 in avi format and it will not play the video only the sound. It says that it has an error downloading the proper codec? Any explainations and possibly fixes?

Its most likely that you don't have the proper video codec. Grab and install the
Defiler Pack and it should fix you right up. If not, let us know.
I have to run out for dinner with the family, but I will return after to explain the specifics if neccessary.

and if that didn't work try the
Gordian Knot This is what I use, make sure you don't duplicate any of the codecs during install though[/url]

Just because he needed a decoder that is readily used for pirated material doesn't mean that he is pirating anything. There are many legal uses of files encoded in divx and xvid (the most widely used codecs). Let's suppose that Dead downloaded some fansubbed anime not available in the United States. Perhaps he downloaded a movie he already owns and wants it to be on his computer and is otherwise incapable of ripping it himself.
Don't bash our civil liberties! Stand up against the those who look to infringed on said rights (ie RIAA, MPAA).
Ohhh, and shame on you if you are pirating stuff Dead

no i am not pirating stuff, The Seisouhen section of the OVA's I am not sure if they are out in America. And I merely wanted to watch it because I have seen all the other ones. And if they are well, sorry Media Blasters.
And I doubt that any here has not atleast once downloaded something that was pirated.
Rurouni Kenshin Seisouhen OVA 1 and 2 also called OVA 5 & 6.
