I have spent the last 5 hours playing Soul Calibur 2. I have finally played it on all three systems. I mus say that I prefer the xbox controls. So now I'm sitting her ein dire need of a gaming fix, and I even accidentally left my SP over at my best friend's house where I spent most of hte evening fighting or unlocking loads of crap in the story mode.

Yes, I must have it. Must have the precious... *twitch* I think I scared my friends with my intensity. That or all of the cheapshot cartwheeling befuddled them. Yowser.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off ot check out Xbox prices online.

I probably would buy it for GC but for one problem. Wait, now what was it? Oh yes - THE CONTROLS SUCK. I've played it now on all three systems and I hate the GC controls. They're simply not conducive to fighting style games.

Ladies and Gentlemen, once again, this proves my point: Germans love David Hasselhoff....oh wait...no....that's not it.

Oh yeah! The GC version of Soul Calibur 2's controls BLOW. If the only reason you picked it up was for Link, then you are a sad, sad person.

I think that as far as the exclusive characters go, Link is the only one who fits in well. Spawn is too modern to fit in with the medieval group. and Heihachi doesn't even carry a damned weapon!

And face it, Link is the most popular guy out of the three, for good reason. I don't think getting the GC version cause he's in it makes anyone a sad person. To be honest, controls aside, if given the choice for which version i want and only ONE choice, i would have gotten the GC version.

Too bad VF Evolution blows all of them out of the water...

I think SC2 redeemed Link's image. Nothing against Wind Waker, of course, but it's nice to see Link as his old bad-ass self again.

i agree with ya, realm, Waker Link doesn't inspire me the way Ocarina Link did.

Dumbest thing I ever did hear.

Seriously. GC is the only system where you can easily hit vertical and horizontal attack buttons at the same time, which is necessary for most of the cool special attacks. Unless you palm it, but if you're gonna do that, just get one the damn arcade pads and it won't even matter what system it's on.

Besides Link is badass.

yeah, Wind Waker Link (I dont think that was even link i dont know played the game only a little) was not nearly as cool as the links in the previous games. I have SC2 for GC and yeah the controls do suck, and yes my bro got it for Link (he is a crazy Zelda series fan). I would prefer the Xbox controller tho since that is the closest to the dreamcast controller. I was better when using that controller. I could get a controller converter adapter to change Xbox controllers to GC but that would be a waste of time.

If you like playing with the xbox controls and want to meet some people around lawrence that play a lot, come to the adrenalan tourny on the 17th and maybe even win some money for playing spawns leet ass..

and Spawn has the WORST win animation ever....

If you're buying a game just for a special character, then that's just silly. In response to Siege, it's very easy to hit buttons for v&h combos on the xbox as well. I still stand that GC's controls are not as conducive to fighting games as the other systems are.

If you read Spawn's profile it makes a little more sense. I don't like playing as him but he's certainly better than Heihachi. And I agree that out of the three systems I prefer Xbox controls.
