Xbox bites the bullet!!!

Here's a nice little story.......to read.

The Baltimore Sun reports that 34-year old Robert Preston Kersey had grown enraged by his roommates constantly playing their Xbox at high volume. According to the police report, Kersey emerged from his bedroom at 2 a.m. brandishing an automatic pistol. Rather than shoot his roommates, Kersey took aim at the offending Xbox and fired a single shot at the console. While the bullet's impact disabled the Xbox, its thick plastic casing deflected the 9mm round, which ricocheted away harmlessly.

Other than the Xbox, no injuries resulted from the incident. Kersey was later booked on two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of destruction of property.

Man, that must have just been building up. One night, he's laying there and he's probably like "I'm going to shoot that f'n machine!!!" Sure he probably second guessed a few times, until that final time where he just went thru with it, pulled out his gun, and blew that xbox away. I figured the xbox was already bulletproof. Dang, how would you react to your roommate coming out and blasting your xbox while in the middle of a serious game of Azurik, I mean, Crimson Skies or ESPN Football. How do you react to something like that? You can't get mad at him, the guys enraged, and holding a freaking gun!!!!

Wow. Now I know what to do if someone breaks in to my apartment with a gun; use the Xbox as a shield.

"its thick plastic casing deflected the 9mm round, which ricocheted away harmlessly."

I'd stick with the Xbox.

so if it deflected the bullet then why did it make the xbox "disabled"?

From what I heard, it just skipped the CD. So, it just had to be reset.

what they forgot to mention was that the assailant had bought the PS2 version of Splinter Cell, then when he saw his friend's Xbox version, he went postal

funny as hell. The funniest part is that before the XBOX came out, all the BS stuff they said it could do and stuff we always joked that it would be bulletproff and turn into a robot.......one of those is true.....time to start looking for the robot button on my xbox.

Yeah, mine's a robot, and it's my own personal slave. Unless I put the Ninja Gaiden disc in. Then it 0wnz me.
Jack's is a robot, and he makes sweet sweet love to it every night.
