Watching Conan this morning, Ice T was a guest, and he said that he was a huge gamer. Which was cool and all, but then he made the suggestion that we should introduce video games into the penal system; in other words, give prisoners video games to occupy their time. Instead of lifting weights, they'd be playing Xbox or something. Now while the prospect of playing Halo 2 against some inmate on Live sounds pretty interesting, I don't know if I like this idea. They're FUCKING PRISONERS, we shouldn't be rewarding them by giving them awesome shit like that. Hell, I don't even think we should give them cable or fancy meals like some of these hotels, I mean prisons, have. They're being punished, not babysat.

Man, if prison had video games, I'd say it's be a pretty decent place. Aside from the daily beatings and anal rapings, it'd be livable. Maybe they should think about using bad video games as more of a torturing method. Like, maybe make prisoners play Superman on N64, ET on Atari, and whatnot.

It would be cool if it wasn't taxpayer money. Plus, it would be a hard sell. You'd have to convince the same government ppl that seem to think videogames cause violence to allow criminals to have video games.....waaaiiiiiiit a second! HA! THAT'S IT! YA GIVE THE CONVICTS VIDEOGAMES! THEN WHEN THERE'S NO INCREASE OF PRISON VIOLENCE WE CAN LAUGH AND SAY "HAHAHA WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!"

Now that's about the best idea I've ever heard of to convince the public/government that games don't cause violence. Hell, maybe we could get Rockstar to GTA: Hard Time, set in a prison .

Hopefully, it'd be an optional thing, like fucking the ho's in GTA3 for extra health.

Hey guys, this really got me thinking here. I'm a little white guy, and I was just joking in my earlier post, but it really made me start wondering about something I'd like to discuss further: diversity in gaming. But that's way off topic, so I started a new thread.
