Madden Tournament

Not sure if a lot of people here play Madden, since ESPN football is clearly the favorite here, but we are having a Madden XBOX tourny at AdrenaLAN on Saturday. First place gets a $50 gift certificate to EB games and second place get a $20 gift certificate. It's $10 to play but you also get to play anything at AdrenaLAN all day long... Starts at 4pm..

Sounds cool. Will the tournament be taking up all the TV's?

Did NVGL ever have their huge Madden tourney? We'd like to have one, be it Madden or ESPN, we just need the time. The games aren't over as fast as a match in a fighter, so you really need a lot of time to have those things. I'm totally lost on how they run these kinds of tournies. What's the time limit per quarter on sports tournaments? 3 TV's? That's 6 people playing while the rest wait! I'm not bashing your tourney at all, that's just the scenario I see. I guess you get to scout your competition tho, which is good. I'd definitely be down for a ESPN Football tourney if they had one.

I went, and had some fun...not playing madden mind you, but playing prince of persia and PGR2.

Yeah we ended up having only 8 people anyways.. But even if we had a lot of people waiting they can play on any computer or the other open TV while they wait, since they get a free all day pass for being in the tournament...

Yup, it was definitely fun. I can't wait for the overnight lan next weekend.
