So now you can waggle to use the sword. This is going to end up like Shadow the hedgehog.

I won't deny that the concept might work...but I was also someone that remained hopeful about Shadow the Hedgehog not being a horrible game too.

Sonic with a sword, "bad ass"...I mean what else can they loose right? It is worth a try...but my money is still on "Sonic Unleashed".

I predict they'll both plummet below expectations.
My favorite sonic game was Sonic Adventure 2. That game had everything that I liked, the music (biggest plus), the AMAZING blue skies'ish environments and colors, and varying stages. I've played all the genesis Sonic games before. I enjoy them, but I'm not really all that crazy about it. To be honest I don't feel it's all that great. Call me insane in the membrane, But I really wish Sega would make a Sonic game that captures the feel of a Dreamcast Sonic game, rather than the genesis/sega CD ones.
... I miss the Dreamcast days.

Sonic Adventure 2 was...eh...ok. There really wasn't a lot that "wowed" me...It felt kinda...restricted in comparison to the first Sonic Adventure...fewer characters, less...adventure...and the levels felt a little more...drawn out than they should have been.
I still liked the game, but I prefered the first Sonic Adventure over it by a pretty big margin. Still wish I could've had a 3rd, though.

Yeah, I'll admit I wasn't a fan of the robot levels with eggman and tails as much as the other ones. But I loved the rest of the game. I remember buying sonic Heroes expecting a similar experience, and man was I dissapointed
. Switching between 3 characters is tedious in a fast paced game like sonic where you want to maintain momentum.

Yeah, I know...it sounded like such a good concept...then you realize that, it wasn't. Especially since I don't think there's any doubt that the team with Amy, Cream, and Big was just...a horrible, horrible idea. I did have fun with Team Chaotix though. The chameleon guy was fun to play with. Sticking to walls, being invisible, and throwing giant shuriken. HOW does life get better than that?

I like it. A problem in the 3d sonics has always been how to off the enemy...now with a sword you won't have that problem.....
Though i would have considered a different weapon....a sword doesn't fit Sonic.

There's never been a problem with that in 3D Sonic games. Jump on them or spin dash through them. Just like in 2D Sonic games (granted in 2D games the Homing Attack was made in addition to these 2 options). If there was a problem with it in 3D games there was a problem with it in 2D games long beforehand.
