Too Human.

Post by Verence »

Just played the demo. I mean, I know it's a demo and all, but I gotta' say the controls suck at this point.

It's like Devil May Cry with more customization, but minus the good gameplay.

Anyone like it?

lol at all these detailed opinions.

I saw a game play trailer for Too human and it actually looked pretty good at the time. I guess looks aren't everything, since I'm hearing some bad things about it.

Yeah anyway. Too Human took a few play throughs to get used to the combat system. It's enjoyable, but it's got a ton of problems. Terrible graphics, pop in, a horrendous camera, and the whole thing just "feels" like a 90s PC game to me.

However, the combat is rewarding and there's a ton of weapons/armor upgrades (even for the demo) for you to feel like a GOD!

It was OK, I really was expecting much more. I want this game to do really well, but if the demo is close to what the final build will be, then this game is going to take. Sword controls were slugish and clumsy. Guns were easy to use, but not as effective as a stand alone weapon. The tech tree and menues were slightly confusing. Some cutscense were OK while others just were horrid. Environments and graphics were unimpressive...I think loosing the "unreal engine" is going to kill this games potential.

Well that's all from Shur*tugal from KC

Played the demo, fell in love with it, went to go reserve it 2 days later.
The key to combat is not continually tapping the right stick, it's holding it to the limit of a given direction and then rotating the stick in the direction of your next attack without letting it snap to center. If you keep this in mind as a basic attack and then use the taps and such as ways to vary your attacks, combat is much simpler and much more rewarding.
Plus, I fell in love with the references to Norse mythology. You don't often see games as high-concept as this one.

I totally agree, but I think I'll wate for some official reviews 1st, and then possibly rent it. I would rather button mash, then try to be sensitive with a controle stick.
