2-D import fighting game extravaganza!
First up is Hyper Street Fighter II to be released December 18 in Japan. No word yet on a US release but I really hope it makes it's way here. It has every version of every single character that has appeared in any version of Street Fighter II! So, say for some reason you prefer the original version of Chun Li to let's that the Championship Edition Chun Li. Well, you can now play any version of her! Capcom has done this before on the Dreamcast with the Darkstalkers series. The game was called Vampire Chronicles and it had the same basic premise of Hyper Street Fighter II except with Darkstalkers characters. I think it's a cool idea especially since I'm a big fan of Capcom fighters.

Second we have Naruto for the Japanese Gamecube. This one is based off on an anime of the same name I think. This first noticable thing about this game is that it's a cell shaded 2-D fighting game. It's made by Bandai and I think Tomy, but even though Bandai has made a few crappy fighting games, I hear that this one actually really good. I think I will try to pick this one up when I finally start working and making some money.

Just recently announced is a follow up to the first Naruto for Gamecube. Naruto 2 will be for the PS2 and will have 4 player fighting action. It is once again cell shaded and looks very interesting. This one ships December 12 for Japanese PS2.
