Turok
played the demo, I think it's the worst FPS i've eveer played, maybe even worse than Resistance. Tell me I'm wrong?

gamespot will give it something from 5-7, I predict. The game LOOKS good, but the aiming is incredibly awkward. It's very static. the voice acting is dull as well. although I like how (finally) theres a game where crouching in the grass (without changing camos and staying still ala mgs3) actually works. and, I shit you not you'll want to use the knife instead of the other crappy weapons. you can do one hit kills, kinda like COD4 only 100000x easier.

Turok 1 was fun, until I got to this big open area and I had NO idea of what to do.
It gives you a few training areas, and then dumps you into a big godamn rediculous battle with T-Rexs, soldiers, and god knows what else. I mean come on, it was the first real fight that you actually get into and they throw everything and the moon at ya.

I played the demo yesterday.
I honestly have a better opinion of it though. I didn't find the aiming to be extremely awkward, granted it's hard to shoot extremely precisely with your bow, because there is a very small spot where you can shoot but yeah...Walking around was kinda weird though. It didn't take much movement on the analog stick to make me lean left or right while walking.
It was kind of an issue with the fact that it's easier to kill with the knife most of the time than with your guns or your bow though...But it looked cool, but it's a game. Not a cinematic experience, and as far as gameplay's concerned that is a bit of a flaw in an FPS. Voice-acting is indeed lacking.
The game tries to be cinematic with rather stiff characters. The dinosaurs are much more touched up than the humans. Oh yeah, during the demo I also manageed to walk up on a dinosaur before it's textures finished loading, so it was a flat surface with all the colors horribly mixing together. It was quite funny watching it for about 5 seconds before it fixed the problem itself.

You know what's funny is that my 360 fanboy friends think the game is one of the best damn games in the world...
Then again, they also consider the Wii to be one of the biggest failures and say they're stacked sky high in every store while 360's are nowhere to be found and that HD-DVDs are clearly beating Blu-ray as you can find HD-DVDs all over the fucking place but you can't find a Blu-ray anywhere...
Btw...none of those are true. Especially not in the areas surrounding us. Usually the exact opposite.
