and also, I don't think this game will get anywhere near the support that Maple Story has. Maple story ( Free MMORPG as well ), has Nexon cards released in Targets, and Duane Reade locations all over the world, ( 10 and 20 dollar cards ) to purchase stuff from the ingame cash shop. Or you can just use your credit card. Maple also gets at the very least, one patch a month. Maple Story is constantly getting new:
-quests
-NPCs
-Equips
-Monsters
-Cash shop items/clothes/hair/accessories/pets
-Locations
-Servers ( and server channels )
-bug/glitch/hacker patches.
and you don't pay a dime. Really the only stuff you pay for are the optional extras in the cash shop. None of them really effect gameplay in any way. Well except that there's a party quest that's exclusive to married couples. It's really just to make a creative character.
There is no telling when Maple Story's world will stop expanding. if this Free MMORPG can do the same thing, (while having the same addictive gameplay) then it's all good.
...
BUT, just about the only problem I have with maple, is that after level 51, if you aren't prepared for the biggest Grindfest of your life, you're fucked. The level cap in the game is level 200, and the 3rd job advancement is at level 70.
I'm currently a level 67 assasin. It Took me 2 years to get this far ( Mostly because I kept leaving and coming back. ) I have roller coaster moments with the game where i'll take a large break and then come back and nail another 5-10 levels before I take another large break and repeat.
They really really really really really really really need to adjust the experience you get from monsters/quests at certain levels. It's really painful once you get to about the mid-50's. But the 3rd and 4th job advancements are proving to be worth it : / .

Playstationfanboy reporting in. This Free MMO Is now out (wow about time huh?). However it's only on the Japanese PSN, so If you want to play it, you'll have to follow this tutorial to sign up for a Japanese PSN account and for the game itself:

I REALLY doubt it'll get me back into MMO's, but the concept of putting a free MMO out on the console marketplace is really interesting, So I'll give it a try regardless. If "maple leaf" ever made it out on PSN... I'd have to make a difficult choice.
