Nice!!! I just found a copy of Super Turrican 2, which I thought was never released. Somehow, it was available somewhere, and it's on it's way to my house. I can't wait. The sequel to one of my favorite shooters.

She deserves a standing ovation!

Apparently girl gamers aren't as rare as we think; The Entertainment Software Associaton has released information saying that women over the age of 18 account for 28% of all gamers, and boys aged 6 to 17 are only 21%.

Gaming isn't really looked at as cool, except by other gamers. I remember reading some editorials by Gamespot editors about how they had a date with a girl until she found out what he did for a living. He also said that it happens extremely often. I'm thinking that women might have the same problem with men. Some guys might think its lame or something. All I can say is there is nothing more cool than a true girl gamer. Fight the system!

Be proud of your gaming roots. I show my gaming pride all the time, maybe if more of us did it would make the others more comfortable. I think most of the people on the forums do too. Lets spread the word.

My wife thinks it's absolutely geeky to meet people on the internet and then go play them. Like when I met went to go play games at Jacks. Although I actually met Jack at EB, which I remembered after leaving his house, all acting like it was cool to finally meet him.

I also hook up with people via soulcalibur.com when I travel for work or play from time to time. She thinks it's just lame to meet these video game people on the internet and then to go play games with them. I'll be sure to break it down to her so she does understand. Other than that, she's absolutely wonderful.

Thanks for the percentages Breakman! I just saw them in Game Informer Magazine this week! YAY! Its been my experiance that men play video games more then women. So I like to think that I'm a rarity of sorts :D But....then again, I have more male friends then female :P There are certain genes that I absolutlely love....shooters for example, like R-Type Delta. They remind me of old school arcade games, and theres something so addictive about trying to make it passed each level with the highest score and the most combinations.

Now, I've TRIED very very very hard to like the FPSs like HALO. All my guy friends are addicted to that game, but I just can't get into it. I loved playing it co-op, and have finished the entire game, but I can't do the multiplayer on XBconnect. Its just completly boring to me. I guess I need a story line to keep me wanting to play.

I am hands down the biggest fan of anything that was great on an old system, and I think its interesting to collect those old games too before they become impossible to find. Some people collect stamps right? I feel the same way about old video games. It nice to find an old rarity.

:P And YES, I have ROB THE ROBOT and I will never get rid of him! :P

See, I've met gals who like gaming, but none who are into it as much as you, who really know their stuff, know the good stuff from the crap, know the classics and what not. There's this one gal in Lawrence, a petite, attractive, red head, who will give you all you can handle with Talim on SC2. She was with our group one night and she went around the room twice without losing, including myself, and then went around the room once without getting beat two more times. She was a very good SC2 player, not a masher, just some good stuff man. I play online with this one guy and his wife for Unreal Championship, and she can frag with the best of them. I will never ever doubt the female gamer again. Then there's you Daysha, a hardcore gamer if I ever met one.
