After being a bit disapointed by Reloaded, I thought I wouldn't be as excited for Revolutions. But after seeing the trailer, I think I'm even more excited than I was for Reloaded. My expectations aren't nearly as high this time around. I'll just enjoy Revolutions for what it is. When I watched Reloaded, I was expecting a follow up to the original Matrix that would surpass all my expectations. This time, I will expect Revolutions to just be Revolutions.

Has anyone seen it yet? I don't plan on seeing it until Saturday, but I'd like to know what everyone thinks about it. I've heard mix reviews, some saying it was lame, some saying it was great, but most all of them say that it's at least entertaining.

No Spoilers on my part but I have seen the new Matrix movie

Who wants to touch me?

I said who wants to fucking tocuh me?!?!?!?!

As a Matrix fanboy (okay maybe not as bad as fanboy) my opinion might be skewed. Also as a philopsopher, my opinion might be skewed.

I really enjoyed the flick. I felt that it followed the Matrix tradition quite well and is more true to the original design as the first was. No movie is without flaws and there are some in Revolutions, but it is truely undeserving of the negative criticism it has recieved. Critics often view movies one by one, and not as extensions of each other and this is where I believe the criticism comes for. It is impossible to appreciate the movie without appreciating the series. I also believe that seeing the Animatrix will help you understand Revolutions better, but it is not a neccesity.

Hope you all enjoy the film as much as I did.

*EDITED* Cause it was early when I wrote that

Great! I think I will enjoy it alot. I look forward to watching it. A majority of the critics have given negative reviews, but so far, the reaction from fans has very positive.

Thoughts on Revolutions

Welp, I just got back from seeing Revolutions with Richie. (his second viewing, my first) Again, I was happily blown away by the Wachowski brothers. The special effects, sound, music, characters, etc etc etc were all amazing. Not quite the ending I was expecting, but I'll leave it at that. I do have a sense of closure though.
It frustrates me when people say "oh I didn't like it, it wasn't as good as the first" or that the matrix has "lost it" or whatever their bitch is. The original Matrix was so awesome because it was like nothing ever before it, both with special effects and the mind-bending plot. Reloaded and Revolutions have built on that. They cannot be as original or mind-blowing as the first, because they are a continuation of the first! Break said something very profound to me once regarding this, "Being is never as fun as becoming." It summed it up perfectly. What if Reloaded and Revolutions had come first? And Matrix 1 was a prequel? Everybody would be bitching, saying it's just not as good as the "first two." Perspective is everything.

Matrix: Revolutions, badass. I loved it.

Finally saw it today. I really don't know what to think of it. I think I might need to see it a few more times before I make a permanent decision. My initial reaction as soon as the movie finished was disapointment. I was definately entertained though, and I do think the movie was well worth my money. I do think the special effects were really good. My opinion on Revolutions as it stands is...it was good. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad, it was good. Maybe after a few more viewings, my opinion might change, who knows.

I've now seen it three times. I'm going to attempt to write a post on the front post regarding my feelings. So far though it comes out like this, "sdjfdsoifjaiodjfiodsjfdiauriiodjriewur8weurrijjsdiofjdsifisfushfuhsfuashuhewrhuwerhuarwuhwduhdsfhjksnfajhuehruaewhruawehrhauhushfsdfsaufdf.sdfijs jsfshjfiuoshuwauihhh ahuhsdfshfsafd! dsfihdsfiahqi2hu3ndf ssdfsfsdffadewqe."

I just saw it for the third time, hopefully that will help.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.
Aside from the incredibly shitty dialogue, it's a really damn good movie.

I thought most of the dialogue was decent, but what really bothered be was the acting. Keanu Reeves is a pretty bad, but then again, I don't really expect much from him, because, he's Keanu Reeves. I don't know, Revolutions just didn't click with me. Parts the were supposed to be emotional, or mind numbing didn't get to me. For me, alot of scenes were laughable, not necessarily because of the dialogue, but because the way the actors pulled it off. But, it's all right, because I still enjoyed the movie, I just don't think it's as great as most people here are saying it is.

I can't really say it any better than I did in today's post. But, yeah, its a good movie.
