I hear E3 is getting a big makeover now. No more flashy lights. No more flashy anything. Strictly business. ONly 5000 invited guests instead of the usual 40.000.

Richie: This means no more booth babes. You should be panicking or munching on a corndawg.
Apparently they want to appeal more to buyers and such. So they screw all of the people who wanted to go to the biggest gaming event in the world and make it this dirthole being held in a friggin hangar.
I dunno. But to me, that seems like getting rid of theaters and putting movies directly onto DVD format. Same thing, less people and less fun.
Well this sucks. E3 dies
Ahhhhh, welcome to 2006, dude. We've known E3 was going this direction since the last one ended.
And it's not without good reason, either. E3 has always been a busy place, but it kept getting worse and worse as the years went by. Less media business, more loud music and clusterfucking. It got so bad in 2006 that most booths stopped catering to the genuine media attendees, since the freeloaders and scam artists far outnumbered them.
I had a really interesting interview with a certain member of CCP Games, who will go unnamed, but has attended E3 since it's inception. He explained to me just exactly how easy it was for EB part timers, brothers of cousins of guys who work the Capcom booth, and people who have no real agenda, to get into E3. All it does is fuck up the works, making it harder for the businesses to get their products in front of the media.
The simple solution would have been to tighten up requirements for attending. That would have cut the bullshit factor in half, and the booth owners could save a little money on not buying bigger subwoofers than the booth next door.

I fully agree with all of this, therefore, I would type out my own words to restate it, however, all I can do copy and paste it, then correct it.Mecha wrote:This is the 2nd post on this forum about E3 not being as big. DO you people read news!?! We knew about this 15 years ago!!!!!!!!
