If FF7 came out on DS. Would it be possible?

Only problem would be the cartridge size, but Wada-san did say that the DS was their primary platform.

And I guess it would be possible...but why? I can get a free PSX emulator, the disc ISO's, and not have to pay for either the DS or the game. It'd have to be one bitchin' remake to be worth it.

I play it an on emulator too, but i it's such a good game i want to keep with me in my pants wherever I go

As Richie said, theft is probably one of the biggest things standing in the way of such things.

I'm not sure if the DS would be the proper platform for this game since there's not much they could really improve with it. It would be nice to take it with you, but that would prolly just be a straight up port. Ps3 or 360 seems to be the best option since they could actually improve the game.

Of course, they could add the ability to have Sephiroth in your party...

I still have the original discs and PS1. The latter of the 2 still crashes frequently, so I can still play FF7 the way Sony meant for games on its system to be played. Barely.

I'm super excited for the ps3 remake. It might make me get rid of the dust on my George foreman grill. Basically i just want it to be a graphical ( and voice acting) upgrade. the battle system was perfect with the materia system and what not. And i'm on the fence about whether or not i want random battles or not. There were multiple times where i'd get into a battle ONE FUCKING STEP after i just got out of a tough one.

I liked the Legend of Dragoon system for their random battles much better. You had to walk so far, then the arrow over your head would turn yellow. Walk further and it'd turn red. Once you hit red, you can get into a battle at any time. Essentially you COULDN'T get into battles so often that you'd pop the disc cover open, pop the disc out, and then snap it in 2.
