LESS FUCKING FORUMS

I come on here and it takes me a shitload of time to check like 5 posts. Too much clicking, make the gaming discussion boards into a single forum, same with the bashing boards.

the mans got a point. also not enough people post, we got a ton of lurkers and silent members. more people should start posting so we can get some fresh ideas on these boards. i can only search so much of the web, i want to see what cool things other people find. joe(weezerjedi) for example is a fountain of cool information. more people should be like joe...i know i should be like joe.

Thanks for the compliment, but really, I'm not that much of a fountain of cool information. I just know random things that aren't really all that important. Also, you should probably not strive to be like me because I'm not too smart. I suggest everyone be more like Matt (BreakmanX). I mean if it wasn't for him, these boards wouldn't even be here.

Thanks for the compliment, man.

As to the number of forums; I like to do things my own way. And the reason I have things separated like this is to have more in depth discussion. And, so you know exactly what you're getting into when you go to a certain forum. Not everyone checks every single post, but likes to go to their specific interest.

I like to have things organized as such; as there is a place for everything, so nothing is really left out, but then again crap can also be ruled out easily.

How many people have problems with this?

I used to think it was an unusual layout, but I've gotten used to it. Now that I'm used to it, I think it works out well for this board. I just wish, as kitsune said, people would post more. The stats say that there are 78 registered users, but only a handful of them post.

I would say to cut down some of the forums at least. Maybe go genre specific if you want to get more in depth. With so few users, you could have plenty of debate if you took out the PS2, Xbox, etc. forums and maybe put a Fighting games, Sports Games, RPG's, FPS', Action/Adventure, RTS section.

I'm not saying do away with all of them, cuz you got some good categories I don't see on other boards, like the imports and arcade, even tho those two are really REALLY slow. But I'd rather talk about VF4 because it's a fighting game, not because it's a PS2 game. I don't know, that would be kind of cool. Not sure how good it rates on your suggestion scale. Would you really change the forum if this was a good idea. I mean, how much work would it take to remove some of the stuff and move it to the specific forum.

Then of course, other stuff could go in the general discussion or what not, but there are a lot of forums, that if consolidated into fewer would at least look busier or fuller.

Still, you got a good thing here, I just wish there was more traffic.

Yeah, I just need to get the word out. None of us have had any time recently. But, things look like they'll get better, then we'll get into it full force.

Sounds good to me. Can't wait to see the new traffic coming in here. By the time I go back to Lawrence, there should be a whole SC2 clan.

The Soul Calibur II scene is definitely heating up - just a few days ago I played in an 18-person SC2 tournament in one of the dorms. A lot of the players seemed really experienced, and it looks like it's becoming one of the most popular games locally.

checking the latest posts is easy. there's a nice little feature that i always use called "view posts since last visit" up in the top right-hand corner of the BMX forum index. very handy.

Awesome! You think we could have hung with this crew of players? I'm jealous. We're actually having a tournament down here two weeks from Saturday on the 27th. Should be a blast and a great reunion for our whole crew since the last one was August 2nd.

There are quite a few topics to look in, but once you get used to it, you will be navigating like a freakin ranger. It's like that with a lot of forums. Unless its a proboards. Heh.

You guys do know there is a "View Posts Since Last Visit" button right? This eliminates the need to search for new posts.. they just show up and you can look at all of them. Neat feature. I wish all forum boards had it.
