Ok, Web22 brought this up in another thread, and i'm keen to giving some thought to this idea...so....
If we held tournaments that were up here in Lawrence (or in olathe at NVGL) would you come to participate?

I can say that if I'm in town at the time, I would, and I'd bring about 8-10 people with me. Once you use the advertising strat I gave you in the other thread, I think it could take off.
Personally, I think Lawrence has a great gaming scene, it's just a matter of tapping into it, even if it means going to gameco, gameguy, and game x change to get the word out. As gamers, if y'all have a coordinated effort, you can create something pretty cool. You could have fighting game tournaments. I'm like you Jack, a big Tennis 2K2 fan, but I never really got any competition at all, but would have loved to play in one of those tournaments. Hot Shots Golf? Halo? You name it! With four gamestores in Lawrence, there's definitely a crowd for tournaments once you get the word out.
