darketernal wrote:Is like dragon ball fans if they do a mmporg of dragonball they will stick to it no matter how shitty it is. WOW is just quality gaming youll notice it when you play it they have never dessapointed me, an im talking about blizzard in general, they usually take there time but they make there games be priceless, check out a few trailers an youll know what im talking about, lot smoother then swg.
First off, I'd like to say that both Breakman and myself expected Galaxies to suck. Gabe from Penny Arcade didn't like it, so we were like "Well, chalk up another hit for shitty Star Wars games." Then we actually played the damn thing and were amazed by the level of realism and immersion it offered. So even though we had a pre-determined bias thinking it would suck, we were proven wrong. (Props to Shadowman for remaining steadfast to the Galaxies through Break's constant insults at his expense.)
Secondly, ever since Ep. 1 and 2, I've lost my Star Wars faith. I was totally disillusioned by the movies and swore off of Star Wars, preaching heresy on Lucas' part. I hadn't played any Star Wars games since Ep. 2 until I played Galaxies, and its great gameplay and trueness to the Star Wars universe has welcomed me back to the flock.
Thirdly, Shadow and Richie are two of the biggest Warcraft fans I can think of. And THEY are really skeptical about WoW. I was actually expecting it to be kind of cool, but if those two are writing it off, I'm gonna have to follow them and their superior Warcraft jurisdiction.
In conclusion, stop shitting your brains out every morning and putting them back in by eating them for dinner every evening. It would make life a lot easier for you.

What I thought BEFORE playing Galaxies:
Eh, Gabe didn't like it and he's as big of a Star Wars fan as they come. And I usually agree with him on games, so I was rather unexcited for it. I got it out of curiosity. I was fully expecting it to suck, and me to sell it. But, I love it, and its going to be hard for anything to top it.

What I think after playing Galaxies:
Galaxies is a game crafted by God's own hands and handed down for the enjoyment of all.

I got galaxies to test it out myself gonna give it the free month an let you know, so far i have to admit just the creatures, races and areas are proving me wrong but still i cant tell till WoW is release to test it too... but as you said the truthness to the star wars saga is getting my attention.

I have to agree, Galaxies is an amazing game. I beta tested Galaxies and had a really awesome time this summer doing it.

However, I will say that I have not yet purchased it. Let me explain why. If I did purchase Galaxies, let's say... tomorrow. Then I would spend the entire holiday weekend playing it and would never see my family. I would then continue to play it through the remaining semester, missing school, finals, Christmas etc. Around March when my family starts to wonder why I haven't called, they will eventually find me and be able to pull me away. By then reality will be skewed. Well, a little worse than it is now.

Suffice to say it would take over my life. While the semester is going on I have to stick to multiplayer combat games. The only thing that saved me from Galaxies was that the beta ended right as school started. Saved by the Bell... as it were.
