So how chopped up do you think Bleach will be?

Japanese Animation and gaming. They go together... like wangs and Penny-Arcade.

Thankfully, it will be on Adult Swim. UNTHANKFULLY, it has not been licensed by Geneon, but by Viz Media, and I hear they butcher cartoons. (Of course, you'd have to ask Zephie about that)

I saw over 30 episodes of it on youtube and I think that it's a pretty good anime. It's funny as hell, but at the same time it has a good story. Some parts of it don't make sense, though. Like how they think they can take on heaven and not face repercussions even if they get out alive. (How can you die as a ghost?)

Let's hope that the dubbing isn't too bad. It's mainly the censoring I'm worried about. I mean Bleach probably couldn't be shown on Toonami. I have no idea how they're going to handle the later Naruto cartoons. Get your steak knives ready, because the butcher shop is right around the corner.

Sweet baby 8 lb. 6 oz. Jesus, I hope not. Bleach is my current favorite anime. I mean they're in filler right now in Japan, and it's still good. And Viz used to be so good too... I don't think they'll trim a lot, because I think Samurai Champloo was left mostly untouched, but the dub job... Well let's just say I'm not holding out hope.

At least they kept the opening theme of Bleach! I'm pleased about that.

Naruto, One Piece, Shaman King, Etc. All the other Shonen Jump anime on american TV have had their kick-ass Japanese opening themes stripped and replaced with generic ass-awful rap/metal/rock.

Samurai Champloo was done by the wonderful Geneon, not viz. Right?

I just heard the Naruto english opening for the first time. I laughed.

Yes but Cartoon Network makes the calls on what gets left in and out, not the dub/publishing company.

I am happy to say that Bleach was entirely unedited last night. All the blood was left, and I didn't notice anything changed. Even the opening and ending songs were left intact, just with the opening credits in english instead, but even they were done in the art styles they were originally drawn in. The Power Ranger as Ichigo did a pretty good job. Not quite as good, but still good. Same for Rukia. My only complaint is the voice they got for Kon... they even left in the preview for next episode that the japanese version had, with Kon at the bottom telling what would happen... and his voice was nothing like the japanese Kon. Sounded far too normal. It's gonna take me a while to get used to that.

As far as dubs go, so far 9/10. It's no Cowboy Bebop, but it's certainly better than Naruto.

Yeah, the voice of Kon was definitely lacking.
