I've studied drums since age 5. Are there any other drummers out there? Just curious to see how many like minded individuals there are out there?

I just found this full video of Danny Carey.. I've seen parts of it before, but never the whole thing + interview. It shows him playing part of Lateralus, and then talking about drums.

If you are even mildly interested in drums, I would reccomend seeing this. He shows perfect form, and some very very nice drumming. This isn't his most complicated song, but I think it is a nice showcase of some great drumming in odd time signatures that then progress into a very tight 4/4 groove. He is my favorite drummer alive, and is respected by every learned drummer I know. He combines the most amazing chops with grooves that perfectly fit the song. Usually there are the "crazy monkey drummers" that just try to hit everything as fast as they possibly can without much regard to the song.. This is like musical masterbation.. when you're not playing with the band you are playing with yourself. Then there are drummers that supply a really simple beat that fits the song, but leaves much to be desired in terms of opening the song up (Ringo Star.) Danny meshes the two poles perfectly. Anyway, take a gander.

my first demo was put together by a couple of drummer friends of mine. I never personally learned though...
