Zephie, could you tell me wtf that is all about and if it's been subbed anywhere? I have no friggin idea why, but I REALLY REALLY wan to see it for some odd reason, and since you're the resident Japanese Anime Otaku Super Guru, I figured you'd be able to at least tell me wtf this alternate Beast Wars anime is called.
Anyone else here who reads this and is upset that I gave no information on this, I do believe we can discuss the original Beast Wars until the almighty Zephie chan enlightens us about the nature of this anime.
--------------------
So, anyone here love the original Beast Wars? I saw almost every damn episode of it when it came on during Fox Kid's little "Power Block" in the mornin. VERY entertaining, though it took a long time for them to get out of a small loop they were in and start making new episodes. The most memorable was when Cheetor had to disarm a bomb over at the Decepticon's base because if it went off, the explosion would follow a trail of little energy crystals back to THEIR base and blow the **** out of them instead.

I have an idea!
Let's get Zephie to post by telling him that he isn't the super otaku guru and the only way to disprove that claim is by informing us!
Of course, we could always sit...wait...and then jump for joy when he posts.

Is this the Beast Wars where Optimus is a Lion? I've seen the imported toys from that line.

Yeah. It's strangely dubbed "Beast Wars II" for some odd reason, even though it was made even before the second and third seasons of Beast Wars were released.
Actually, In Japan it was: Beast Wars > Beast Wars II > Beast Wars: Metals
So basicly Beast Wars II was a 49 long anime series, not counting the 1 OVA, that was made as something to keep the Beast Wars fans happy until Japan got the second and third seasons of Beast Wars translated.
Oh yes, Beast Wars Neo, which I'm guessing is a part of the same storyline as Beast Wars II was created afterwards. Both were used to fill in the gap in between the First season and the final translation of the second and third seasons.
I have also learned that the events of Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo take place in the far future from Beast Wars.
On wikipedia some people have called this childish, but then again, who here among us really cares about what others consider to be childish as long as we have the will to play the Gamecube or Wii? Not saying they're childish of course, just saying that many people thought so in the past and some continue to think so about the Wii.

Apparently some stuck up fansubbing group called TV-Nihon will soon be subbing Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo.
I would suggest not going into their chat rooms because it seems that unless you are a part of their "covenant" you're not gonna be well liked no matter how superior your intellect is...

I quickly scanned through the previous posts before doing some research and so, forgive me if something has been said about all this:
"Beast Wars II: Chou Seimei Tai Transformers", which translates to "Beast Wars II: Super-Robot Life Forms", is a spinoff of the American show "Beast Wars: Transformers". It spans 43 episodes long.
Followed it was a second season, "Chou Seimei Tai Transformers: Beast Wars Neo", which translates to "Super-Robot Life Forms Transformers: Beast Wars Neo", and is 35 episodes long.
Followed further by that was its final installment, an OAV titled, "Beast Wars II: Rion Konboi Kiki Iipatsu (which, I think, is spelled 'Ippatsu' when properly romanized)" which translates to "Beast Wars II: Lion Convoy, By A Hair's Breath".
As of this moment, only the first season is unlicensed in the US -- the second season and the OAV are licensed. The OAV was turned into a movie when that American company, whose name I cannot recall, took the license.
TV-Nihon are among the assholes of the fansubbing world. They're all that left of the respectable TV-Nippon, who's original members quit fansubbing a while back.
