Edit: shit I just read what Kabir wrote, I cannot repost the link here, but you should head over to Tool navy if you'd like to find it.
So, it isn't what we were expecting, (lyrics, or the song itself)
But a review from Kabir on what he had heard at the little listening part he was at.
Despite what Kabir said, I do not have any expectations and will continue that mindset until after I hear the album in its entirety

We just heard 30 seconds of Vicarious.
I just was crucified, died, and ascended into heaven seated at the right hand of the father.

Definitely not dissapointed. I love the tone on the guitar especially. Now, I need to hear Maynard!

Oh man, I actually thought, when I first heard the clip that Maynard was going to start singing, but he didn't.
Anyway, that will change on monday, or maybe even earlier.. who knows?
I really don't know what to do, The wait really hurts right now. I just want this clip to keep going but, it always stops and loops. lol

Yeah, I've got it looping too. Wish I could take the DJs voice out. I'm excitied for the "machine gun" percussive vocals!

A groan of tedium escapes me,
Startling the fearful.
Is this a test? It has to be,
Otherwise I can't go on.
Draining patience, drain vitality.
This paranoid, paralyzed vampire act's a little old.
But I'm still right here
Giving blood, keeping faith
And I'm still right here.
Wait it out,
Gonna wait it out,
Be patient (wait it out).
If there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through
This tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now.
Gonna wait it out.
If there were no desire to heal
The damaged and broken met along
This tedious path I've chosen here
I certainly would've walked away by now.
And I still may ... (sigh) ... I still may.
Be patient.
I must keep reminding myself of this.
And if there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through
This tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now.
And I still may.
Gonna wait it out.
