GetBackers: Currently showing in Japan. Not available in the states yet, but fansubs and Hong Kong DVDs can be found in the usual places. It's about two guys with a service to retrieve anything lost or stolen, hence the name. The action and comedy is great stuff; there is a little bit of shounen ai overtone, but nothing that isn't easily overlooked.

Rizelmine: Not available in the states, but HKDVDs are available. It's about a 15-year old boy forced by the government to marry a 12-year old experiment who's uber-cute and cries nitro glycerin. Funny as hell. Watch it if at all possible.

DNA^2: First DVD just released in the states. An overpopulation problem 100 years in the future causes a government agent to travel back in time to stop a Megaplayboy from spreading his seed to 100 different girls, creating even more Megaplayboys with each generation. With a special DNA-manipulating bullet, she shoots the right guy, but with the wrong bullet, and inadvertedly transforms him into the very Megaplayboy she was trying to erase. Very funny, slightly ecchi, and damn that girl from the future is HOT.

Just downloaded a couple fansubs of GetBackers. Good stuff. But what would a "shounen ai" overtone be?

it means boy love. It refers to like homosexual tones that are in the story line. Where boys are all really pretty and are "very close." Thats a really basic view of it...theres a whole sub culture of manga and anime based on this.

Anime series of Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll are currently both showing in Japan, and are avalible as Fansubs.
Ghost in the Shell has been excellent so far (only 14 have been released) and I believe only 3 episodes of Ninja Scroll are subed so far, and that hasn't been doing it for me as much..
Also, the new Sonic Anime has 2 fansubs out, I haven't watched them yet, but I did downloaded them.

Also, the wcomplete Animatrix DVD rip can be found on various P2P networks... I grab it the other night and was generally impressed. Although the last episode is pretty retarded amoung with certain elements through-out the entire series being retarded also.. but a good watch non-the-less.

Yeah, there's a 26-ep Ghost in the Shell anime (with the sub-title being "Stand-Alone Complex") airing in Japan.
