XB360 BC news.

Post by Verence »

From magic box...

"Bungie confirmed that Xbox 360 will be backward compatible with Halo and Halo 2 for Xbox. Both games will have some graphic improvements on Xbox 360, such as better textures, full scene anti-aliasing and higher resolution."

So with the patches downloaded the 360 will be able to improve the graphics of XB games (as long as the developers choose to implement the function). Awesomeness. :)

good point, it would really suck big balls if they only fixed up the two halos. but im willing to bet that theyll do it for all of the games they make backwards compatible.

If it wasn't posted on the official Xbox site, I'd think it was a joke.

Stake? Chicago Enforcer? Does anyone actually play those games? No Burnout? No Star Wars Battlefront? No X-Men Legends? What happened to "top-selling games first", Microsoft? What the fuck?!!

Most of them. You can bet your ass that all the games released by Microsoft (i.e. Halo, Halo 2, PGR2...) will definitely release that feature for the 360.

And supposedly beefed up resolutions (720p, 1080i) are available on all games emulated, now and in the future.

Whew, well as long as Yourself Fitness is on the list, I can relax. I would much rather see that look better than other games such as Brothers In Arms.

Cockfucks.

That's an interesting list, but quite a few games I'd want aren't on there. And I noticed a lot of sequels, but the original games weren't on there. I really hope Splinter Cel Chaos Theory gets added because that game is excellent. I also hope a lot of developers release updates for their games, especially to improve frame rates and to utilize the 360's features.

That's still a pretty good list, albeit with some glaring omissions.

Hopefully the framerates will indeed be improved and the PS3 will follow suit with these BC improvements.
