Well, we've got another series airing and it's quite the good one! I've kept up with the Japanese raws, but there are no fansub groups doing the episodes. That being said, these episodes are my first glimps at understanding it all... I must say I'm mighty impressed so far these first two episodes.

Some of you might remember a similar half-hour short consisting of five episodes (five minutes each). That was merely a test to see how well an American and Japanese company could work together to bring a stunning new breed of anime to the world. It was also a test of storyline. Born from that you see this: a 26 episode TV series as the fruit of their labors.

It's an interesting blend of story elements and art. I don't know about you guys, but I'm totally pumped for this series.

I was actually kind of impressed with it. It's not something I'd clamor over human beings to watch (like Justice League Unlimited), but still pretty good.

I guess the only reason I dont like is because...well...the main character lets the other dudes walk all over him, that crazy lady doesnt understand good strategy when it smacks her in the face, and well...it almost seems like a Yu Gi Oh style show in which the fate of good and evil rests upon a stupid game.

I dunno. I tend to disagree.

The first impression I got of Takeshi was that he generally didn't care about other people or what they thought. I mean I'm sure it got to him a little, like it does to all of us, but I have a general attitude like him where I really don't care what anyone else says and agree with them just to get them off my case for the time being.

As for good and evil I think it's more like a money thing; money makes the world go 'round and if their income is based solely on sponsorship and prize money, then of course they're going to make a big f'ing deal out of it.

It's still a little early to really tell what's going to happen, but as the first anime of an American-Japanese partnership, this thing rocks the house. And it's a good anime, I especially like the art oh so very much.
