I usually play in the morning, but sometimes at night if things work out.

I don't really have a regular place to play. Usually, when trying to find a game, I look for two things: Ping and players. The ping has to be under 150, and I usually like games that are almost full i.e. 30/32. Ranked or otherwise, doesn't matter, though I find that unranked games are more fun, since no one is out to further their own records...

Any recommended servers?

Though I might have a few favorite spots to play, if EA would include a feature to record them. Ditch this worthless ranking system and give me a damn favorites list!

it would be cool if you could search for users too. i found a bunch of guys who liked riding with, but now i need to go find them again and hope their game isn't crowded.

my voice chat doesn't work, i never hear others talking, just the same blanket commands

The All Seeing Eye had a user tracking mode back when I was using it, but I dunno if it works with BF2...

Yes I know I am bringing up a old post, but for a good reason. I also just got this game and I dont have the internet right now, btu I figured it woukld be fun anywayz. Once I got it I figured out you can only play 16-player maps in single player, I was wondering if there is anyway you can play witrh bots in conquest mode like in BF:V? It really pissed me off when I buy a $45 game and cant even have fun with it, I still have the 1.0 version. Do i Need to download any of the patches out to maybe get bots?

Well, Battlefield games are made to be played online. That's just what they're for. So, you shouldn't be mad that you spent 45 dollars on a game that's no fun, you should be mad that you didn't take the 45 dollars and start up an interent service so you could enjoy games like Battlefield 2.
