Ok I think its about time one of these was started for probably one of the wierder animes.

I think we first need to discuss Little Slugger...what the fuck? A 12 year old kid has to get pretty pissed off before he goes beaming people with a golden bat. From the recent episode I think he might POSSIBLY be connected with the kid that has everything and is always happy because he seesm to go after people who are sad and at the end of their rope. I thought it was really stupid of Echi to want that fatass to get hit because after those photos of him threatening the fat guy it would point directly at him. Ack if I were in his shoes I would be asking around...I can already think of some lines to start the conversation.

LOL I would piss myself if a little beany baby started crawling up my leg....then I would run to get a knife before it could XD

I just thought of something....the name of hte anime is Paranoia Agent...Echi was being paranoid and thought everyone was out to get him after the Little Slugger incident.

As I said before on another forum, I slept through Saturday's shows. But from the beginning I've always had a sneaking suspiscion in the back of my mind that "Paranoia Agent" might mean something else entirely. Such as a paranoia induced virus or hallucanagine or something, hence the name "Paranoia Agent" using agent's alternative medical name. I dunno... It just kinda feels that way to me.

Is anyone else really freaked out by the opening credits?

Not to mention Meromi.

I was wondering if it might be the medical form of the word as well. Either a paranoia-induced something or a something-induced paranoia.

I dont get hte opening...apparently they are all insane in the opening...one guy looks like hes commiting suicide from a very high place.

Meromi err...I don't think Meromi is REALLY scary. I don't even think its moving around on its own. I think it's just that one girl hallucinating because of her "tragic" experience.

Eh it may possibly be some type of contagen that infects certain people...although why it would only go after people who are at the end of their rope is beyond me.

I hope its not something we've already thought of. Hopefully the cause of the weird things happening will be a suprise.

The mark of a good writer is to always surprise their victims-- I mean readers. Most of the writers/original creators of anime spawn from the manga versions and don't dissapoint. Usually. A manga usually has the artist and writer (most of the time they're the same person) and two or three assistants offering different views and ideas.

Hope they had a good team for the manga and the anime is following it. If there was no manga or the anime isn't following it (which would be incredibly weird to say the least), hope the writers aren't total dolts!

That's my opinion anyway.

As far as we know it could be anything. It could be a ghost comming back to help/hurt people. It could be a psycho kid who likes hurting people. It could be some kind of paranormal force caused by Echi's high anti-murphy success rate.

And the reason I say he might want to help people is because in the commercials I hear someone say he goes after people who are cornered with nowhere to go...no this COULD be literal but I think it means they are on their last legs.

I don't think Ichi is the cause of it. He may be part of a much larger cause, but I'm sure he's not solely responsible.

Hmm...it seems that Little Slugger sets people free somehow b y beaming them in the head...I mean that one lady got some time off, that suspected kid wasnt suspected anymore...and that lady probably lost one of her personallities.

wtf? There is no way in hell they caught Slugger in like the 5th episode...

Wow, talk about fucking freaky in this latest episode. That episode gave me a queezy feeling, and after watching a show like Elfen Lied, the most guesome, gory, language, nudity filled anime without flinching... that's saying something about what actually gets to me. I'm suddenly very much liking this show. It's thrilling, mysterious, and it keeps me on my toes. It's also in a "reality" setting, a non-fantasy world like most of the anime are right now (at least in Japan). It's certainly a welcome break.

I loved the scene where she was fighting against herself. They did it so well and it had perfect interaction between the three of them even though there was only one. The cuts and angles were perfect.

I think I might forego getting Samurai Champloo on DVD and get Paranoia Agent; God knows I could use a reality anime in my vast collection of 99% fantasy.

Okay, I know I missed an episode (maybe two), but I'm totally fucking lost. Gohma? Swords? Golden hover boots? What the hell? Star ruby? Well, I guess that's what you get when you cross freaky Japanese animators with a freaky Japanese anime writer...

Its just that the suspect arrested in the little slugger case thinks he is a holy warrior, freeing people who have been possesed by Gohma. Its all in his mind. I think things will get back to "normal" after an ep or two.

Someone gotta fill me in because I couldnt watch it for the past two Saturdays and I was so tired on Thursday (spent 14 hours in Magic Kingdom) I forgot about the little reshowing of the Saturday animes.

0.0; Ok....is it some type of ghost that comes and gets people who want to escape? And the finding of the bent pipe was only a coincidence? I mean something has to be happening...what hit the girl on the bridge? What hit the fat kid and the kid who looks like the slugger. What about the hoe? Did every lsat one of them take after the girl or is some kind of invisible assailent really knocking people out and helping them "escape"?
