Some of the demos they showed kicked a lot of ass. If some of those trailers were actually indicitive of what will be on PS3, then wowza, should be some great times.
And yes, I still think the Xbox 360 kicks ass as well. It's a great time to be a gamer.

I like the design of the Ps3 a little better than the Xbox 360, actually.

I do not like the controller.
But its going to be fully backwards-compatible all the way back to the PS1 and feature a HDD, so I will forgive. Especially since they could end up with a better controller design by launch time.

The revolution looks pretty hot too though. It's not purple or kiddie looking at all. That should help alot if they do the same thing with some of their games.

And Sony fanboys bitched about the Xbox controller being too big. Thank god no buttons are on the little "bat wings" cause thats what those handles remind me of. There may be an issue of balance involved if you hold it a certain way but there really shouldnt be any big problems with it. And it says the controller is gonna be Wi-Fi yay!

Yeah, the PS3 controller worries me. Looks like a ninja is gonna pick it up and kill someone with it.

Hey Verence, sony didn't say that PS3 would come with a hard drive, they just said that there would be one. If I misunderstood, ok, but I'm pretty sure that they just said "there will be a hard drive for ps3".

I know, I said it will feature a HDD, not come with it.
For the record I actually like the current design of the 360 best.
Anyone notice what was said about Xbox 360 backwards-compatability? That "best-selling" Xbox games would be backwards-compatible? What's that about? ATI/Nvidia conflict? Royalties?
Does this mean I won't be able to play my Xbox copies of Panzer Dragoon Orta or Beyond Good and Evil on the Xbox 360?

After seeing Ps3 and Xbox360, and finally playing Top Spin 2 on 360 I must say that the Ps3 looks more powerful. It's possible it is just the game, but the Xbox 360 version looked hardly (if at all) better than Top Spin 1, and Mark and I both agreed that it felt much worse. It's an early version, but being a sequel you wouldn't think the it would play worse than the original.
Oddly enough, people around the show floor have been talking about the Ps3 the most as well. All around the floor talking to people it is definately the buzz this year by far. Every time I've gone to the bathroom I've heard random journalists say how good they thought it looked.
We'll wait and see how things progress, though.

I'm liking the PS3 more at this point. The 360 isn't doing anything for me at this point. The controller I like, the rest is pretty ugly compared to the slick PS3 design, even with the batman controllers.

Let's hear it for tech demos and pre-rendered movies! The ps3 is more powerful because Sony says so! yay!
Let's not forget what Sony promised with the ps2 and how that all turned out.
Don't be so quick to judge...when I see a REAL game running on PS3, not a tech demo, then I'll make a judgement on where their power really is.
edit: Very interesting tech comparison between xbox 360 and ps3 on
